Emergency First Aid at Work (FAA Level 3)

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is a one day NUCO approved training course. This course aims to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to provide treatment within the workplace in a prompt and safe manner.

This classroom based one day course covers a variety of theory and practical discussion and activities. Upon successful ongoing observation from the tutor/ instructor, a three year certificate is issued.

Within this course, the following topics are covered:

  • Burns
  • Choking
  • Epilepsy
  • Shock
  • Minor Injuries
  • Bleeding Control
  • Resuscitation and unresponsiveness
  • Reporting and assessment of the situation

First Aid at Work (FAA Level 3)

The First Aid at Work course is a three day NUCO approved training course. This course aims to provide learners with a more in depth approach to safety within the workplace, supporting their approach to deal with a variety of emergency situations.

This classroom based three day course covers a variety of theory and practical discussion and activities. Upon successful ongoing observation from the tutor/ instructor and passing a written assessment, a three year certificate is issued.

Within this course, the following topics are covered:

  • Reporting and assessment of the situation including legalities
  • Resuscitation and unresponsiveness
  • Spinal injuries
  • Fractures
  • Bleeding control
  • Shock
  • Heart attacks
  • Head injury
  • Sprains
  • Poisoning
  • Bandaging
  • Choking
  • Eye related injuries
  • Chest related injuries
  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Stroke
  • Burns
  • Epilepsy

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (FAA Level 3)

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is a one day NUCO approved training course. This course aims to provide learners with an idea of the emergency situations that may involve children or young people and how to best deal with them.

This classroom based one day course covers a variety of theory and practical discussion and activities. Upon successful ongoing observation from the tutor/ instructor and passing a verbal questioning assessment, a three year certificate is issued.

Within this course, the following topics are covered:

  • Becoming a paediatric first aider
  • Surveying the emergency situation
  • Resuscitation
  • Wounds
  • Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Seizures
  • Choking
  • Minor injuries
  • The recovery position
