Charity Donations 2025/26
NiBS have donated £100 to the Welsh Air Ambulance on behalf of Sophie Elliot, Service Supervisor. As part of our charity contributions for 2025/2026, each NiBS employee will have an allocation of £100 to donate to a charity of their choice.
Sophie's reasoning behind this charity: "Given what the charity has done for everyone in Mid and North Wales over the last 24 years and what they can do with our help and support I feel this is the charity best donating to. The Welsh Air Ambulance has recently had a review of their efforts and what can be done in order to utilise their force more effectively and given they rely solely on donations to maintain their fleet, I would like to help them make the statement of improvement come true. My father had an accident a few years back in which a typical ambulance could not attend due to the harsh terrain they would have to cross to access him. After 8 hours on the ground in extreme pain he was finally moved to hospital with the help of a local paramedic off duty. I firmly believe that the donation I make will go towards ensuring that no others that require the immediate help, that wasn't available to my father, will suffer from not receiving it. Thankfully my father is doing just fine, but between myself my mother and him this is a charity we would love to be able to support in any way we can."
