  • Scarfell completed ( 3 hours 25 mins) Snowdon next.
  • 3 Peaks. Ben Nevis started @ 4.45pm and completed in 4 hours 22 mins. Now on our way to Scarfell Pike.
  • 3 Peaks. One down. Two to go.
  • Weather is overcast with light drizzle and low cloud. The Challenge starts at 5pm, countdown started. The team is warming up.

Safety

i practices on all battery work are set out in accordance with British Standard BS-EN 50272-2:2001 Safety requirements for secondary batteries and battery installations. Stationary batteries and its own ISO 9001:2008 Quality Procedures. All work is undertaken in accordance with i Method Statements and any additional Risk Assessments & Work Instructions appertaining to particular customer requirements.

Compliance with Health and Safety regulations & legislation are followed by adoption of the above standards and in addition the "pre work commencement" agreement with customers for specific site risks / situations and procedures.

To ensure this safe standard all i personnel receive training in all products and applications of batteries through internal & external training. All personnel are adequately trained for the task assigned. Where training is being undertaken on a particular aspect of work which is outside the i Workshop environment a minimum of one Qualified Engineer will be present at all times for safety and referral.

The training of engineers is reviewed on a regular basis and fully documented and kept in the training records of the individual, and the company.

All Fully Qualified Engineers receive Health & Safety First Aid Training and therefore are qualified First Aiders.

All personal are provided with all necessary tools, equipment and Personal Protective Equipment. This should always be in good working order and suitable for the particular job in hand. Any defects should be reported by the engineer directly and immediately to the Service Manager, who will issue replacements.
