i Team
All i service staff have received training by and to the standards of the major battery manufacturers. The training courses are supplemented by in-house training modules, which are reviewed and modified, on a regular basis.
The modules cover all aspects of the various product designs and their particular safety features, the modules also cover the use and update of equipment held or used by the company.
Internal modular battery engineering training is continually carried out, to ensure i has the best current knowledge of products and services throughout the Management & Service Team.
The objective is to ensure that at all times i staff are fully competent whilst working on customer sites and are able to safely complete the work.
The work is carried out to the standards of ISO9001:2008, BS-EN 50272-2:2001 and if applicable the relevant British Standards for discharge tests, unless a specific load test is required. The tools and equipment comply with safety standards, and are regularly inspected, maintained and calibrated where necessary. Regular quality and compliance checks are carried out.
All of our service engineers receive COSHH training and are qualified First Aiders’, in both cases this training and relevant certification are obtained through outside, recognised organisations.
On occasion where extra personnel are required, i have a short list of suitable contractors, who receive the same training and operate to the same standards as i staff. All i engineers hold the relevant Client/Contractor National Safety Group Safety Passport, issued by the Engineering Construction Industry Training Body (ECITB).
All i engineers have an annual medical for fitness to work and fitness to work offshore where applicable. They are also monitored for radiation count by the independent board NRPB, and therefore are classified workers.
NIBS have been awarded Investors in People for the last 6 years.
