Decommissioning

This service is offered both with replacement battery work and also as an ‘independent service’.

The decommissioning of any battery type installation is undertaken with the normal British Standard of work and method statement provision. The technique and isolation points are only carried out after agreement with the site staff.


Removal of special waste products are carried out with refererence to COSHH and hazardous waste regulated routes. Other scrap is removed by NiBS so as to ensure the installation site is left clean and tidy.

NiBS decommissioning is performed by the same personnel as installation work for safety and quality reasons.
