Battery Capacity Testing

Capacity testing is conducted in accordance with the relevant British Standard or, similar tests can be undertaken to simulate the system demand.

NiBS have a comprehensive suite of test equipment to cover most capacities and applications.

Once the test specification is agreed, the test is carried out using NiBS dummy load equipment thus moving the risk of system problems (UPS tripping, alarms etc.). Leaving the control equipment to run the system and the isolated battery available for testing.

Each NiBS test is completed with a report which provides

• All readings taken during the test
• A graphical expression of the battery performance
• A certificate of battery performance and capacity compliance.

Integrity is ensured by the issue of a report which is an "independent of manufacturer interests" report.

All equipment used is regularly maintained and measurement devices calibrated.
